You can look forward to a full schedule of activities, including time with your son's teachers, athletic events, and the 31st Annual Auction. We're also excited to invite parents and grandparents to a Thursday evening reception at Canaan Street Lodge, the original site of our school. We hope to see you at Cardigan!

Family Weekend

Important Information

Fall Term Long Weekend: Students may depart campus for Fall Term Long Weekend after their last afternoon athletic commitment on Saturday, October 19. Please ensure they sign out with their coaches properly. Underclassmen are due back by Wednesday, October 23 at 9:00 p.m. Ninth graders are due back at the same time as underclassmen, unless they are visiting secondary schools and have cleared their absence with the Student Life Office (Nick Nowak, and the Secondary School Counseling Office (Kris Langetieg, If visiting a school, ninth graders are due back prior to their athletic commitment on Friday, October 25.

Dorm Items and Clothing: Fall Family Weekend is a good time to collect any items that your son cannot have at school (e.g., bean bags, space heaters, or hot plates), as well as any excess belongings that he does not need. Also, this weekend will be a chance to make sure your son has appropriate clothing for the winter weather ahead.

Travel Information: Please complete the Fall Term Long Weekend Travel Form if you have not done so already, even if you intend to drive your son to and from school yourself.

Homestay Information: If your son is an international student who requires a homestay during the break, please make arrangements with our Travel Coordinator Erzi Willems as soon as possible at Families interested in hosting a student during the break should contact Ms. Willems to make arrangements.

Medication & Supplements: If your son needs medication for the long weekend, you can request a supply by emailing and it will be ready for you when you arrive.
